the injectIR taught me 2 important lessons.
1) having a good video that simplifies your message is really powerful (particularly with a technical product like this). btw, it’s a remote control extender that hitchhikes on your hdmi cable if you’re wondering.
2) if you actually have a press-worthy product just send an email to a tech site telling them clearly and briefly why it’s worth writing about.
ok, actually that last part is only partially true. i didn’t hear back from any tech bloggers after i first hit them up, but then i offered to buy the techcrunch team pizza if they would watch the video and they told me it wasn’t worth their time. i never heard back from them, but the post went live later that day so i’m assuming they read my message.
